Production Planner - Production (Maternity Cover)

Cooper Lomaz Recruitment is excited to present an excellent opportunity for a Production Planner to join a leading production company on the outskirts of Norfolk. This fixed-term role is to provide maternity cover, offering a chance to gain valuable experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
About the Role:
As a Production Planner, you will be a crucial part of the Production Control team, responsible for scheduling the work flow through the factory. Your primary duty will be to ensure that the production plan meets customer requirements while optimising productivity. You will work closely with Capacity Planners to set the master-plan for upcoming weeks and track machines to set the production plan for the next 24 hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate effectively as part of a team.
- Organise and prioritise workloads efficiently.
- Use your initiative to make decisions and react quickly to changing plans.
- Handle pressure well and adapt to new challenges.
- Communicate effectively with factory managers, machine operators, and team members at all levels.
- Utilise IT systems confidently; knowledge of "Accuterm" is a plus.
- Maintain excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build strong working relationships.
Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential.
- Must be able to work alternating shifts (6 am - 2 pm and 2 pm - 10 pm).
- Should possess a proactive attitude, exceptional organisational skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Should demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow within the role.
Details:
- Salary: £24,000 per annum
- Contract: Fixed-term (Maternity cover)
- Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, alternating shifts (6 am - 2 pm / 2 pm - 10 pm)
- Overtime: Paid at an hourly rate when required
- Start Date:*As soon as possible
