Job Description:
Your responsibilities will include:
* Creation and management of Works Orders within MRP/ERP system.
* Planning and coordinating production schedules considering customer requirements and production constraints.
* Analyzing back orders, current orders, and upcoming orders to prioritize, plan, and schedule production.
* Liaising with suppliers and supply chains to remain updated on any events resulting in supply discrepancies or interruptions.
* Working collaboratively with Customer Service to support customer requirements, including order acknowledgment.
* Creating production schedules for publication.
* Maintaining planning parameters to maximize performance.
* Continuously improving data processes and systems within Operations Planning.
* Proactively resolving arising issues and managing schedule risk.
* Calculating and maintaining planned inventory levels and buffer stock.
* Placing orders with suppliers and monitoring pricing and delivery lead times.
* Liaising with the supply chain to maintain a collaborative relationship.
* Identifying bottlenecks in resource planning.
* Capacity planning.
Development Responsibilities:
* Demonstrating and utilizing 'Just in Time' principles using Lean Manufacturing methodology.
* Monitoring and continually improving system data accuracy.
* Reporting on progress, risks, and opportunities to the planning team supervisor.
* Working collaboratively with other departments to share best practices and manage internal supply chains.
* Representing the planning team in daily production meetings, ensuring all actions are addressed in the absence of the supervisor.
Skills & Experience:
* Experience in a planning role within a manufacturing environment/industry.
* Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project).
* Experience working in an operational environment, production, and/or supply chain functions.
* Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all business levels.
