Production Planner

A large manufacturing company located in Ipswich, Suffolk are currently recruiting for a Production planner. This is a permanent role offering a competitive salary with some attractive benefits listed below.

Overview:
As a Production planner, you will play a key role in maintaining operational performance and scheduling in a manufacturing environment.

What does the role involve?

Communicate schedule changes clearly and promptly to all relevant departments in the business
Produce weekly KPI reporting, whilst making lean improvements within the business
Escalate risks and bottlenecks to achieve the weekly plan, working closely with the production, purchasing and demand planning team
Lead daily production meetings, reviewing prior day performance and recovery actions
Execute weekly production plan and release work orders where required
Candidate requirements:

Degree in Supply chain / engineering or similar
3 plus years' experience within a production planning of scheduling position within a manufacturing environment
Background working ERP/MRP systems (Ideally SAP)
Strong excel skills as you will be required to analyse and report large data setts
Good communication and organisational skills
