Description:
Production Planner / Resource Planner / Manufacturing Planner / Production Scheduler / Production Coordinator required for a well-established manufacturer in Kent.
Production Planner / Resource Planner / Manufacturing Planner / Production Scheduler / Production Coordinator will be using an MRP system to actively plan work across the business and ensure adequate materials are on site for production workflow to be maximised to meet the targets/plans.
The successful Production Planner / Resource Planner / Manufacturing Planner / Production Scheduler / Production Coordinator will require previous manufacturing/production exposure and MRP / ERP experience.

Up to £32,000 - £38,000 depending on experience

The Production Planner will be to provide proactive, effective, and efficient production planning support to the manufacturing department
The production planner will plan production order lines into the appropriate work centres using an MRP / ERP system
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager
Provide a first point of contact for customers regarding order progressing, rush orders, late orders, and lead times.
Daily planning / releasing of customer orders into the production / manufacturing department.
Generating production schedules that provide an in-depth audit of production requirements, manufacturing capacity and line utilisation.
Develop procedures and best practices that optimise accuracy / efficiency of the master production schedule(s) (MPS) and manufacturing throughput
Liaise with various engineering departments including Operations, Customer Service, Engineering, Inventory Control and Purchasing.
Prepare various manufacturing reports
Site based in Kent.

Proven experience as a Production Planner / Material Scheduler / Materials Planner / Production Scheduler / Production Coordinator / Materials Co-ordinator / Manufacturing Planner / Planning Assistant
A high level of proven capability gained within a Projects Planning / Scheduling role using ERP / MRP systems.
Must have worked in a manufacturing / production environment
