Hours - Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5pm

The Recruitment Group is working with a market leader in the supply of aluminium, steel, titanium, and other metals. They service their customers via a global logistics platform and offer many additional value-added services.
Purpose of the Production Planner role:
Our client is looking for a Production Planner to be responsible for developing and implementing production schedules to meet customer demand and optimise resources.
Main duties and responsibilities of a Production Planner:
. Planning and organizing production schedules.
. Collaborate with sales, operations, and procurement teams to gather relevant data for effective production planning.
. Highlight any capacity constraints or Bottlenecks throughout the business.
. Monitor inventory, to ensure stock usage is being optimized.
. Utilise the ERP system to maintain accurate production planning.
. Communicate Production schedules to relevant departments and adjust plans as needed.
. Evaluate and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes.
. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve production-related issues.
. Review and develop production KPIs.
. Reviewing monthly production outputs.
. Control and monitor production-related costs to maximise profits.
. Travel may be required to other sites for business purposes.
Experience/knowledge requirements for a Production Planner:
. Proven experience as a production planner or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
. Knowledge of manufacturing production and processes.
. Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement skills.
. IT Skills - preferably experience using ERP Systems.
. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
. Ability to work using own initiative.
