Job Title; Production Planner
Location; Crewe
Hourly rate; equates to £33-38,000 per annum - negotiable dependant upon experience
Start date; ASAP
6 month plus contract
Sector; Manufacturing / Engineering
Hours; 37 per week Monday to Friday, early finish on a Friday, on site Crewe works
Free parking.

The Production Planner creates, controls, and updates the Master Production Schedule, develops detailed production plans and material delivery schedules, create orders with all required base data in ERP, monitors production progress versus plan and provides data for overall short, mid and long term site capacity planning.
The Production Planner ensures that MPS, detailed production plans and material planning are accurate, complete and available on time. also ensures that all order data in the ERP is accurate and up-to date, production progress is closely monitored and issues are escalated and working hours and capacity data are correctly calculated as a basis for planning and improvement actions.
Has concern for clarity and accuracy, communication, negotiation and facilitation skills.
Requirement
1 - 3 years experience preferably in a relevant role.
Engineering and manufacturing processes, relevant planning and calculation tools, IT-Systems (e.g. SAP, Planning tools), BOS, SMB and respective KPIs.
Technical education, engineering knowledge, manufacturing engineering. Calculation of capacities and manufacturing hours. Understanding of production flow and constraints.
Has good understanding of basic concepts and procedures in own discipline and basic knowledge in related disciplines and continues to acquire higher level knowledge and skills.
Likely to be specialised in a specific technical area
Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to recommend improvement of products, services and technical processes within own and related teams
The impact of the job can effect Production and potentially On Time Delivery to the customer. The quality of the work produced will reflect on the performance and effectiveness of the team and CRO business as a whole.
Impacts a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other teams whose work activities are closely related.

Demonstrates sound and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills.
