Description:

Ready to take the next step in planning excellence? This Planner role is a fantastic opportunity to make a visible impact in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, driving production order flow, accuracy of stock, and reliable delivery performance. If strong organisation, clear communication, and practical ERP/MRP know-how are your strengths, you'll fit right into this team. This Planner position offers meaningful responsibility, hands-on work across day-to-day production control, and the chance to keep operations running smoothly from order creation through to serial number release.

What You Will Do:

- Create and release Production orders, ensuring they are technically completed and ready for execution.

- Progress and chase components through the factory to keep production on schedule.

- Create and release Spares (Service parts) picklists to the Production Stores, maintaining efficient supply flow.

- Generate and manage the serial numbers required for Production, supporting traceability and accurate records.

- Manage perpetual inventory cycle count requests across Production Stores and the factory, improving stock accuracy.

- Support Scheduling and cover absence as needed, including updates to parts forecasts through Demand Solutions.

What You Will Bring:

- Previous experience of production planning in a manufacturing setting, ideally gained over a few years.

- Experience creating Production orders in an ERP/MRP system and progressing them through a plant.

- Strong numeracy and confidence working with data, alongside excellent Excel skills (including formulas and lookups such as VLOOKUP).

- An advantage if SAP experience is available, particularly within manufacturing-related modules.

- A collaborative communication style and a genuine willingness to learn and improve processes.

This Planner position plays a direct role in ensuring production can move confidently through the factory so customer orders arrive on time. It supports operational precision by controlling perpetual inventory counts and responding effectively to engineering change requests when required. With a focus on cross-department communication and practical planning, this role helps maintain strong delivery estimates and smooth day-to-day production control.

Location:

The Planner role is based in Spellbrook, near Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire.
