Description:
We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic Assembly Operative to join our team at Watt Close.
The role will include the manufacture of subassemblies and testing of products in line with daily targets to achieve required outputs as per business requirements. Each operative is responsible for the manufacture of a sub-assembly which is then passed to the next in-line operative.
You will be working in a modern manufacturing environment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures with excellent team working and the ability to integrate into the existing team.
Ideal candidates must be committed to cross functional training and be a proactive problem solver with an understanding of the Continuous Improvement Process.
The role offers a 37 hour working week, working the late shift:
14:00 to 00:00 Monday to Wednesday and 14:00 to 23:00 Thursday, this includes a 15% shift allowance
Responsibilities:
Picking components from bins to assemble the produce
Using pneumatic, electric powered tools, and a small number of hand tools.
Use of computers to produce bar code labels.
Use of hoists to manoeuvre heavy loads (25kgs) onto pallets.
Manually load lighter finished parts onto pallets
Remove pallets of finished product to the dispatch area, using a hand palletiser
