Production Operative – Metal Fabrication
Location: Ferndown, Dorset
Hours: Day Shift (Early Finish Every Friday)
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Are you hands-on, motivated, and looking to build a long-term career in metal fabrication?
We're recruiting for a Production Operative to join a well-established fabrication company based in Ferndown, Dorset.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous metalworking experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Full training will be provided, so we're looking for someone with good manual dexterity, a positive attitude, and a genuine willingness to learn.
The Role
As a Production Operative, you'll be involved in a variety of fabrication and production duties, including:
* Operating a range of production and metalworking machinery
* Cutting and preparing metal components
* Using a variety of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
* Assisting with fabrication and assembly work
* Reading and following work instructions and production drawings
* Carrying out quality checks to ensure products meet company standards
* Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience working with metal or within a manufacturing/fabrication environment
* Experience using hand tools and power tools
* Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
* A strong work ethic and positive attitude
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
* Eagerness to learn new skills and develop within the business
