Hours: Monday to Thursday 6:30am-4:30pm
Friday 6:30am-12:30pm
Job Description:
CRS are currently seeking a dedicated and hardworking Production Operative to join a team in Gretna Green. Reporting to the Team Leader/General Manager, the Production Operative will play a vital role in our fast-paced production setting, primarily responsible for stacking finished goods and grading reject timber. This role requires significant manual handling and the ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment.
Job Specifications:
Physically fit and capable of handling manual labor.
Flexibility to work in all weather conditions.
Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team.
Ensure efficient and effective production while maintaining quality standards.
Accountable for the quality of finished products.
Report equipment breakdowns to the Team Leader and maintenance team.
Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards in the work area, including the reject off-shoot area at the end of the line.
Actively participate in Continuous Improvement activities.
Contribute to keeping the plant organized and clean during downtime.
Observe and maintain health and safety standards within the workplace.
Report any identified or caused damage to the Production Manager.
Assist in end-of-shift cleaning duties.
Willingness to undertake other duties as required within the general scope of the business.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a similar production environment preferred but not essential.
Basic understanding of health and safety regulations.
Strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
