Production Operative - Specials Department
Location: Almondsbury, Bristol (BS32)
Pay Rate: £14.17 per hour
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent
Reporting to: Specials Manager
Role Overview
Join a market‑leading manufacturer of clay building products as a Production Operative within the specialist, hands‑on Specials Department. This physically active role offers long‑term stability, skill development, and the chance to work as part of a highly respected production team.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be involved in:
Hand‑crafting bespoke clay blocks to meet customer specifications
Transferring wet clay onto stillages
Building accurate brick firing stacks
Sorting fired bricks into packs ready for dispatch
Maintaining excellent housekeeping and following all health & safety procedures
What We're Looking For
Excellent timekeeping and reliable attendance
Self‑motivated with a proactive, positive attitude
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong awareness of health & safety standards
Own transport is essential due to the site location
Desirable Skills (Not Essential)
Experience in a continuous improvement or manufacturing environment
Counterbalance FLT licence
Any relevant training or upskilling qualifications
Working Hours
Monday to Thursday: 7:30am - 4:00pm
Friday: 7:30am - 3:00pm
