Production Operative | Full Time | Monday – Thursday: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm | Friday: 7:00 am – 1:00 pm | Preston | £13.26 per hour
Our client is a UK-based manufacturer and supplier of industrial laminates, composite materials and machined components.
They are focused on delivering a quality product portfolio, supported by great service, excellent response and best of all, over 155 years’ experience of getting it right.
The Role
They’re looking for a reliable and hardworking Production Operative to join their manufacturing team, supporting the safe and efficient operation of their laminating, pressing, weighing and varnishing processes.
Key Responsibilities
Press:
Operate presses
Carry out trimming
Provide press support operations, including material preparation such as cutting and steel management
Operate and monitor ovens and control systems
Use lifting equipment
Carry out measurement and inspection activities
Weighing:
Oversee, operate and action all requirements of the Weigh department
Varnishing:
Mica Varnish
Work within the Part Mark and Sanding work centres and carry out associated operational requirements
Stock Control
Measurement and Inspections
Secondary Role:
Assist colleagues within the department when required
Perform general housekeeping tasks
Use the business system for production management via PC terminals
Demonstrate strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
