Swift Temps are working with an industry leading client in Walton Summit Preston,
We are currently looking to employ Production / Manufacturing operatives to join on a temp to perm basis .

* Monday - Friday: 06:00 - 14:00 Competitive pay: £12.96 ph / £17.16ph OT After 40h + Sat / £22.88ph OT Sunday / BH
* Monday - Thursday: 14:00 - 00:00 Competitive pay: £13.28ph/ £17.16ph OT After 40h + Sat / £22.88ph OT Sunday / BH
* Rotating shift Monday - Friday: 06:00 - 14:00 / Monday - Thursday: 14:00 - 00:00 Competitive pay: £13.16ph/ £17.16ph OT After 40h + Sat / £22.88ph OT Sunday / BH
Responsibilities:
* Maintain a throughput on machines to achieve output and targets whilst meeting quality standards and ensuring that safe working practices are maintained at all times.
* Provide temporary cover for colleagues who have to leave their machine(s) whilst still in operation.
* Ensure batch integrity
* Carry out line clearance procedures.
* Carry out basic maintenance procedures e.g. weekly machine clean downs.
* Liaise with maintenance to advise on machine problems.
* Record press readings on statistical process charts in order to assess and, if necessary adjust the process.
* Work with and support trainees and colleagues in all departments as required.
* Respond positively to and work on priority requirements.
Requirements:
* Prior experience in the production & manufacturing is essential
* Mechanical knowledge to operate and troubleshoot production machinery is preferred
* Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods of time
* Forklift certification is a plus, but training can be provided
