Working hours: 8am-4.30pm or 6am-2.30pm for the opening two 1-2 months, before moving onto PM Shifts (2pm-10.30pm) long term once fully trained
Hourly rate: £12.71 per hour (rate will change once PM shift begins (TBC))
Our well known client based in Letchworth are currently looking for a Production Operative to join their growing team, on a Temp to Perm basis. The is s fast paced Industrial role where the successful candidate must have previous experience working within a Factory environment, ideally within manufacturing/engineering or furnace environments.
Duties as a Production Operative:
- Loading and unloading metal parts into the salt bath furnaces
- Following set operating procedures to run heat treatment cycles.
- Monitoring temperatures, cycle times, and atmosphere levels to ensure quality.
- Checking finished components and recording process data for traceability.
- Carrying out basic checks, cleaning, and minor maintenance on equipment.
What's needed as a Production Operative:
- Previous experience working within manufacturing/engineering or furnace environments (desirable)
- Previous experience working around and operating Machines & Tools
- Ability to work well within a team
- Open to moving onto PM shift after 1-2 months
- Ideally available immediately
