Job Description:

1. Manage, lead, and assume responsibility for all production requirements, ensuring machined components are produced safely, cost-effectively, on time, and to the required quality standards.

2. Execute daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to ensure customer on-time delivery.

3. Manage and motivate the manufacturing team, handling processes such as recruitment, training and development, employee engagement, performance management, employee relations, reward, coaching, and mentoring.

4. Organize the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment.

5. Reduce company expenses and increase productivity across production by implementing company policies, procedures, and goals.

6. Set quality standards and ensure all work instructions are up-to-date and accurate while monitoring productivity rates, standards, and quality control.

7. Ensure projects are directly attributed to the role, sharing best practice methodologies to ensure project consistency and process repeatability.

8. Maintain all documentation related to the manufacture of precision machined parts in line with quality expectations.

9. Ensure delivery deadlines are met and departmental budgets adhered to (KPIs).

10. Undertake personal training to enhance necessary skills and ensure knowledge transfer to team members.

11. Comply with reasonable requests and duties assigned by the Managing Director.

12. Maintain and adhere to safe working practices, including compliance with Health and Safety and Environmental standards.

13. Lead, motivate, and manage all members of the production team, including external resources, to increase efficiency.

14. Advocate the organization in a positive and professional manner and participate in organizational-wide initiatives and projects as required.

Skills & Experience:

1. Ability to read and interpret technical information and drawings.

2. 3+ years of experience in production management.

3. 3+ years of experience working in relevant business sectors, ensuring cross-functional understanding.

4. Preferred business and engineering qualification in the appropriate field.

5. Proficiency in IT systems such as MS Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, including MRP experience.

6. Preferable experience with commercial contracts.

7. Experience in risk and conflict management, including negotiating skills
