Salary - Up to £60k + 15% annual performance-based bonus.
Birmingham - B37 7HB
Hours - Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm

Purpose of the Production Manager role:
Our client is looking for a Production Manager to manage the production-related operations of the business, reporting to the MD. To ensure that customer product quality and service are maximised in a safe environment.

Main duties and responsibilities of a Production Manager:
. Working as part of the Senior Leadership Team.
. Ensuring site safety procedures are followed and occurrences minimised.
. Organising and directing day-to-day operations efficiently and effectively to exceed customers' expectations.
. Continuously improving production, asset capacity, and production flexibility while minimising unnecessary costs.
. Being responsible for production output, product quality, and on-time delivery.
. Allocating resources effectively and fully utilising assets to produce optimal results.
. Liaising with the Head of HR to implement strategic people initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus.
. Monitoring operations, identifying, and triggering, where necessary, corrective actions.
. Collecting and analysing data to improve e.g. waste, downtime, and throughput.
. Developing systems, metrics, and processes that track and optimise productivity and performance against set targets to ensure effective return on assets.

Experience/knowledge requirements for a Production Manager:
. Clarity of strategic thinking, open-minded and an ability to drive performance.
. Proven working experience as a Production Manager (or similar) delivering strategic objectives, preferably within the Corrugated Packaging industry.
. Proven managerial experience with evidenced business acumen. However, exceptional less-experienced candidates will also be considered.
. A working knowledge of business and management principles.
. Excellent communication skills - this is key.
. Knowledge of safety, quality, productivity, inventory and GMP processes.
. Ability to create accountability and to lead by example.
. Strong team building, decision making and people management/development skills.
