Leading manufacturer operating in the metals industry, renowned for their high-quality products are looking for a Production Manager. They are a business who are proud to deliver world-class manufacturing standards while maintaining a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. 
As a Production Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, overseeing the production processes, and ensuring smooth operations with Quality & HSE being the key drivers and be the ambassador for best practice on site. 

Role: Production Manager 
Salary: £50k + benefits + pension
Location: West Midlands (commutable from Wolverhampton, West Brom, Walsall, Birmingham) 
 
Responsibilities for Production Manager:

Lead and manage a team of production supervisors and operators to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
Efficiently plan and organize manufacturing activities to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
Maintain strict adherence to quality control standards and continuously improve processes to enhance overall product quality.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures to streamline operations and ensure effective utilization of resources.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and logistics, to optimize production schedules and meet customer demands.
Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance operational performance.
Foster a positive and safety-focused work culture, promoting continuous learning and development opportunities for the team.Qualifications and Experience for Production Manager:

Proven experience as a Production Manager in a fast-paced environment, ideally within the metals/heavy engineering industry.
Strong knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control practices, and production planning.
Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and motivate a diverse team, driving them towards achieving production goals.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement innovative solutions in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills, ensuring efficient utilization of resources.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
