Description:
Our client is one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of precast concrete products and systems that are utilised across the volume housebuilding market. Our client designs, supplies and installs their products to the homebuilder, main contractor and subcontractor network.
Through demand for their product a new role has opened up for an experienced Production Manager to join the team in Tallington.
Main Responsibilities:
* Maintenance and advancement of staff training & development plan
* Implementing and managing of best practice processes and systems
* Responsible for identifying quality issues and corrective actions
* Formulating and implementing quality plans
* Maintaining health & safety procedures and documentation
* Liaising with external health & safety consultant
* Preparation and presentation of manufacturing reports
* Management of Factory Personnel
* Coordination of staff training and cross-skilling
Candidate Profile:
* Experience of management in manufacturing or construction
* Resolute attitude to improving quality standards
* Good written and oral communication skills
* Ability to gather and analyse information to produce accurate technical reports
* Ability to multitask and use initiative
* Ability to meet deadlines
* Qualifications and experience in lean manufacturing would be an advantage
* Previous experience working in precast concrete manufacturing would be a distinct advantage
