A leading UK manufacturer of market leading products are looking for a Production Manager to manage all aspects of production at the Ross on Wye Facility.
The business is a busy contract manufacturer working with major brands and also manufactures it’s own original equipment which is exported worldwide including USA, Europe and Australia.
Ideally you will be experienced in a Metal Preparation Environment that includes – Welding, Painting and Assembly and also be an experienced manager of production staff.
We are looking for positive and effective communicators who can:
* Provide front-line leadership across the prepared production operation, focusing on quality, cost, safety, delivery, and people.
* Lead and motivate teams to achieve production targets and maintain high standards of quality and safety.
* Utilize MS Office tools, particularly intermediate Excel, to analyse production data and optimize processes.
* Maintain a clear understanding of production processes to drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
* Make recruitment, onboarding, and appraisal suggestions.
* Suggest work patterns and overtime in order to achieve the daily, weekly or monthly targets.
Selected Responsibilities for the Production Manager:
* Carry out interviews, appraisals, back to work interviews, disciplinaries, tool-box talks, training and regular team meetings.
* Prescribing maintenance tasks and housekeeping routines, to maintain a clean and safe environment.
* Trouble shooting – materials, equipment, people and processes.
* Provide suggestions and input in capital expenditure project.
* Low cost purchasing of tools and equipment.
* Site Security .
Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years of experience in a production environment.
* Proven ability to positively manage and lead teams of people.
* Intermediate Excel skills.
