Production Engineer

£30 - £40 per hour (Inside IR35), 3 month extension likely

Yolk Recruitment is excited to be working with a globally renowned manufacturer that is embarking on high-value contracts. We are seeking a skilled Production Engineer to join their thriving team and provide engineering expertise during this exciting period of growth and new projects.

This is what you'll be doing

Overseeing and improving production methods to enhance efficiency and quality.
Creating and maintaining detailed process instructions to ensure smooth workflow.
Analyzing production performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
Implementing lean manufacturing techniques to reduce waste and increase productivity.
Collaborate with the production team to optimize manufacturing processes.
Develop and update work instructions to ensure best practices are followed.
Identify areas for improvement in production methods and implement effective solutions.
Conduct root cause analysis on production issues and implement corrective actions.
Support research and development initiatives to drive innovation and efficiency.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Conduct regular safety and quality audits to maintain high production standards.This is what you'll need

Proven background as a Production or Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
Degree in Engineering or a related field.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to project management.
Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies.What You'll Get in Return
