Description:
Trident Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Production Engineer to join a leading precision engineering manufacturer based in Salfords.
This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer with a strong background in CNC programming, CAD/CAM, and production engineering to play a key role in supporting manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and introducing new components into production.
The Role
* Programming, setting and operating STAR Sliding Head lathes and/or Index Mill Turn machines
* Offline CAD/CAM programming for new and existing components
* Supporting new product introduction (NPI) and process development
* Developing and improving machining methods to maximise efficiency and reduce cycle times
* Creating and maintaining tooling, setup and process documentation
* Providing technical support to the shop floor and assisting with production issues
* Working closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to drive continuous improvement
The Ideal Candidate
* Previous experience as a Production Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer or Senior CNC Programmer
* Strong experience programming STAR Sliding Head lathes and/or Index Mill Turn machines
* Experience using CAD/CAM software for offline programming
* Excellent understanding of precision engineering and machining processes
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* A proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills
