Role - Production Engineer
Location - Barton Under Needwood
Salary - £47K
Hours - 40 per week over Monday to Friday
This is an excellent opportunity for a quality driven production engineer to join a leading manufacturing company based in Barton Under Needwood.
Purpose of the Role
* Driving product quality through improvement activities including the ability to build, set, test, inspect and present to customers and stakeholders.
* Protecting business risk through the monitoring of product quality through the production process to test and inspection.
* Participate in company product development activities, ensuring the product development practicality and suitability to meet identified requirements.
Main Duties
* Communications to operations staff on quality issues to ensure understanding and improvements are made when required.
* Ensuring the availability of product test equipment with acceptable standards
* Reducing in line and end of line failures through analysis, development and implementation of improvement plans.
* Providing direction to operations on product requirements
* Working with stakeholders to overcome technical issues and manage the requirements with the aim of optimising company cost and revenues associated to the product.
* Work with other internal teams (e.g. Purchasing and Production) to create the required Production Data
* Identification & measurement of lead indicators driving quality
* Monitoring and analysis of product related data including build, test and inspection.
* Completion of product and process quality audits
* Supporting project kick off and execution through meeting attendance and supporting studies and data analysis
Requirements/ Skills:
* Degree or HNC Level Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
* Hands on electrical / electronic lab work including fault finding, designing simple circuits for test jigs / rigs, using lab tools, soldering, using equipment like oscilloscope, operating automatic test equipment and writing test scripts.
* Practical problem solving and continuous improvement delivery.
* Communicating to stakeholders professionally with confidence both individually and as a larger team with the ability to use data to drive required behaviour changes. Ability to extract raw data, analyse and generate insight
