Production Assistant
Long Stratton, Norfolk
Monday to Friday | 8:00am – 4:00pm
Starting rate of £12.71 per hour
Select Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our client for a Production Assistant to join a busy textile printing and manufacturing business based in Long Stratton.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain practical skills, learn a specialist trade, and build a long-term career within a growing production environment. No previous screen-printing experience is required – full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
Washing paint buckets and printing screens
Cleaning and preparing printing tables
Rolling fabrics onto printing tables
Assisting with fabric spraying and preparation
Learning the screen-printing process
Packaging finished fabric rolls ready for dispatch
Receiving fabric deliveries
Organising and storing stock
Recording incoming fabric deliveries and stock movements
Carrying out basic data entry tasks as required
What We're Looking For
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Good attention to detail
Reliable and punctual approach to work
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Comfortable with hands-on, physical work in a production environment
Basic computer skills would be beneficial but are not essential

This is an entry-level position with genuine opportunities for progression. Candidates who demonstrate commitment, reliability, and aptitude may be offered a permanent position, progressing to Printer's Assistant and potentially becoming a Printer within 12 months.
