Production / Assembly Operative

Zenith People are currently recruiting for an internationally recognised Manufacturing Company situated in Jarrow with very good transport links.

Job Description & Key Responsibilities:

· Operation of hand tools

· Carry out close up work

· Manual handling/ dextrous work

· Accurately follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)

· Ability to follow instructions

· Use of initiative and flexible working attitude

· Able to demonstrate they meet the minimum entry level 3 of numeracy and literacy to NVQ standards

· Complete paperwork correctly

· Maintaining a safe and tidy workplace

· Follow health and safety rules.

Candidate Specification:

· Experience of working in a high-volume production environment is desirable

· Able to work as part of a team

· Able to work on own initiative when necessary

· Able to work to within tight cycles/deadlines and with minimum supervision

· Able to work in a safe manner

· Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions and work to standards

· Good Manual dexterity.

Shift Pattern:

First 8 weeks: Monday – Thursday 8am – 5pm & Friday 8am – 1pm

Post 8 weeks: 3 on 3 off - 6am – 6pm / 6pm – 6am.

Schedule:

* 12 hour shift

* 8 hour shift

* Day shift

* Night shift

* Overtime
