Description:

Our client is a global engineering firm who are looking to recruit a production administrator to join the team.
Candidates need experience of working in a Production, Manufacturing, Industrial or Engineering environment. This role is 50/50 split between Office & Workshop.
Duties:
Source appropriate tooling for the purposes of ‘kitting’ planned production jobs.
Monitor the tool usage during the machining process to ensure that the operators have adequate tooling.
Liaise with tooling vendors and support them in managing our accounts.
Manage the tooling vendor suppliers working closely with their appointed representatives.
Deal with any account enquiries from our suppliers.
Develop relationships with the suppliers to obtain the best performance from them.
Obtain quotes for tooling from vendors to gain best and competitive pricing for items requested.
Obtain quotes for tooling from suppliers from various departments – Production, Engineering, Technical & Maintenance.
Ensure that quotes obtained are competitive. and we have checked pricing with optional suppliers.
Explore difference pricing options with suppliers to obtain the best pricing / value.
Raise orders in line with operational requirements in the MRP / ERP system.
It is a clean manufacturing environment.

This is a fixed term contract for 14 months.
