Product & Supply Chain Coordinator

Newmarket, Suffolk | £30,000 per annum | Hybrid Working

Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm | 1 day working from home

Are you highly organised, confident with numbers and someone who takes real pride in getting the details right?

We're working with an established and successful business in Newmarket that is looking for a Product & Supply Chain Coordinator to join its Buying and Merchandising team.

This is a busy, varied position where you'll be responsible for keeping products, suppliers, orders and deliveries on track. You'll work closely with international suppliers and internal teams, making sure deadlines are met, information is accurate and nothing falls through the cracks.

We're interested in candidates from purchasing, supply chain, stock administration, product coordination or other detail-focused administrative roles who can demonstrate the right skills and attitude.

What will you be doing?

*

Managing and monitoring the critical path across approximately 1,200 products, ensuring key deadlines are achieved.

*

Liaising with suppliers in China and India, chasing orders, confirming delivery dates and resolving issues.

*

Coordinating purchase orders, repeat orders, stock availability and shipping schedules.

*

Working closely with internal departments to ensure product information, timelines and requirements are accurate.

*

Producing and analysing stock, sales and performance reports to support commercial decisions.

*

Maintaining accurate records, spreadsheets and reporting information.

*

Supporting stock forecasting, replenishment and purchasing decisions.

*

Identifying potential delays or problems early and taking ownership of resolving them.

*

Supporting weekly trading meetings with accurate information and updates.

What are we looking for?

Above all, we're looking for someone with exceptional attention to detail, determination and the confidence to keep people accountable.

You'll ideally bring:

*

Excellent numerical skills and confidence working with spreadsheets, figures and data.

*

Outstanding attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work.

*

Strong organisational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.

*

A tenacious personality, comfortable chasing suppliers and colleagues when things need to get done.

*

Confidence working in a busy, high-volume environment where accuracy really matters.

*

Clear communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships.

*

A proactive approach to identifying problems and finding solutions.

*

Good Excel skills and confidence learning new systems.

Previous experience in buying, merchandising, purchasing, supply chain, stock control or a similar administrative position would be beneficial, but we're equally interested in transferable experience.

Why join?

You'll be joining a close-knit head office team of 12, including three colleagues within Buying and Merchandising.

You'll be part of a supportive team that values Respect, Teamwork, Quality, Positivity and Drive, with the opportunity to develop your knowledge of product management, international suppliers and the wider supply chain.

What's on offer?

*

Salary of approximately £30,000 per annum.

*

Hybrid working, with one day per week from home.

*

Monday to Friday working hours.

*

A varied role with genuine responsibility and ownership.

*

Exposure to international suppliers and the full product lifecycle.

*

The opportunity to develop within an established Buying and Merchandising team.

Interested?

If you're organised, numerically confident, enjoy working with data and have the determination to keep a busy operation running smoothly, we'd love to hear from you.
