Job Overview: Working exclusively with our client, an established injection moulding machine & bespoke automation supplier we are currently recruiting a commercially biased Product Manager to complement their successful Sales & Marketing team.
Scope:
* Our client have an excellent business synergy relationship with the Global market leading ancillary supplier of Temperature Control Units, as well as other product applications supplied into the Plastics industry, proudly promoting outstanding innovation, uncompromising quality & a strong commitment to sustainability.
* Having successfully supplied several units into the UK & Ireland customer market, this is an excellent opportunity to be the Sales-orientated Product Manager working closely with a strong precision engineering team, a premier Plastics mould machine tool supplier and being the face of the Temperature Control units division in the UK.
Remit:
* As a Product Manager, as part of the sales team reporting to the Sales Director you will be responsible for building key customer relationships, identifying business opportunities, negotiating and closing business as well as the logistical and marketing aspects of the product management
* The role of the Product Manager is to work with the internal/external teams, marketing staff and other personnel to increase sales opportunities and thereby maximise revenue and market penetration for the organisation.
Responsibilities:
* Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.
* Plan calls as appropriate within the UK /Irish market to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
* Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization.
* Research and build relationships with new clients.
* Work to develop proposals that speak to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.
* Participate in pricing and quoting the solution.
* Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the products unique selling propositions and differentiators.
* Collaborate with the machine sales team to develop strategies for reaching sales targets
* Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
* Present new Temperature Control products and services and enhance existing relationships.
* Submit progress reports and ensure data is accurate.
1. that data is accurately entered and managed within the company’s CRM or other sales management system
* Track sales against targets.
* Manage incoming orders and the procurement of products with HB Therm and oversee the delivery and if necessary the installation of units as required
* Manage unit inventory and loan / trial units accurately preparing loan agreements where necessary
Experience Requirements:
* Proven experience with selling technical capital equipment within plastics manufacturing environments
* Good qualifications within engineering, manufacturing, science or business studies
* Commercial awareness
* Confident with public speaking
* Motivation for sales, with strong prospecting, planning & negotiation skills
* Market knowledge
* Experience using CRM databases
* IT Awareness
