Nine Twenty Engineering & Manufacturing is excited to partner with our values driven manufacturing client in their search for a talented Product Development Chemist to join their team on a permanent basis.

As a Product Development Chemist, you will work closely with the Product Development Manager, contributing your technical expertise and support across various functions.

Your responsibilities will include:

Collaborating with sales personnel to identify upcoming product development ventures.

Orchestrating and supervising plant trials with appropriate staffing levels.

Coordinating with Continuous Improvement and Manufacturing teams to ensure smooth product scale-up.

Offering technical guidance to sales, customer services, and manufacturing departments.

Staying updated on changes in raw materials, both in terms of performance and compliance with regulations.

Supervising junior staff to ensure efficient project management.

Ensuring thorough specifications for new and existing products and processes.

Cultivating strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to align business objectives and drive quality enhancement.

Qualifications and Skills:

Degree qualified in Chemistry or a related technical field.

Previous experience in a chemistry-oriented role, preferably within manufacturing.

Proficiency in product quality standards and continuous improvement methodologies.

Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong decision-making skills.

Capacity to handle pressure and navigate setbacks effectively.
