About the Product Development Chef (Cakes & Patisserie) job

The purpose of your role will be creating, developing, and improving products that support business growth. Working closely with the NPD team, the role combines culinary expertise, innovation, and commercial awareness to develop high-quality products from concept through to launch.

Key tasks

* Create and develop recipes for new and existing products, ensuring delivery to agreed timescales.

* Maintain accurate documentation and follow all NPD processes and stage-gate requirements.

* Monitor initial production runs and support the successful launch of new products.

* Actively participate in NPD meetings, project reviews, and cross-functional discussions.

* Keep informed of market trends, consumer insights, and industry innovations, sharing opportunities with the business.

About You

At least 2 year’s experience of working within a professional kitchen, restaurant or development ideally in patisserie, along with a professional baking or patisserie qualification(s).

* Innovation & creativity, demonstrating passion for food, generates new ideas, and seeks opportunities to improve products and processes.

* Results focused, taking ownership of projects, prioritises effectively, and delivers high-quality outcomes within agreed timescales.

* Collaboration, working positively with colleagues across functions, building strong relationships and contributing to team success.

The Product Development Chef (Cakes & Patisserie) job (Ref 9100) is based in Berkshire and is paying £32,000 - £38,000 according to your experience.

The package includes 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, Life Cover and a generous employer’s pension contribution of 9%.

The working hours are either 8am-4pm, or 9am to 5pm, with a 30 minute lunch break.

The site is commutable from Maidenhead, Windsor, Slough, High Wycombe, Bracknell, Wokingham, Marlow and Cookham.
