Product Designer – Hatfield, Hertfordshire
Our client is an award-winning manufacturer, acclaimed for its innovative and high-quality lighting solutions, invites a visionary individual to enhance its dynamic team.
As a Product Designer you will be instrumental in supporting product design initiatives, ensuring the highest standards of quality, and contributing to the design process from initial briefs to final execution. Your role will encompass a variety of responsibilities, from creating and refining technical drawings to managing electrical components and maintaining meticulous documentation.
The ideal candidate will possess experience in product design, with a preference for those with a background in lighting. Proficiency in AutoDesk Inventor or similar CAD software, along with Adobe Creative Suite, will be highly regarded. A keen understanding of various manufacturing processes, quality standards, and supplier engagement is essential.
Candidates should exhibit strong communication skills, analytical prowess, and an unwavering commitment to problem-solving. Organisational skills, time management, and a commercial mindset are key to thriving in this role.
A degree-level education, preferably in lighting product design, mechanical or electrical/electronic engineering, is sought after. Experience with CNC, sheet metalworking, die casting, aluminium extrusions, or injection moulding will be advantageous.
