ROLE- Product Design Engineer
LOCATION- New Forest, Hampshire
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £30,000 - £40,000 (dependent on experience)
Premier Engineering are currently recruiting for a Product Design Engineer to join a growing company near the New Forest.
The role will involve taking projects from initial concept through to manufacture. You will be using SolidWorks and designing plastic products.
Ideally we would like you to:
Be skilled in using 3D CAD software (ideally SolidWorks)
Have experience designing plastic products and injection moulded parts
Be able to create models / prototypes
Be technically minded with a head for problem solving
Have an understanding of design for manufacture
Have a design related degree (Product Design, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering etc.)
Responsibilities:
Develop your ideas from concept to production.
Sketch ideas and develop concepts.
Create models/prototypes.
Do market research, work with clients and listen to their feedback.
Use all manufacturing processes.
