I have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Product Delivery Lead (Workplace Productivity & Collaboration) to join the Civil Nuclear Constabulary at their Griffin Park, Seascale Cumbria.

PLEASE NOTE DUE TO THE POLICE VETTING AND SECURITY CLEARANCE CRITERIA YOU MUST HAVE RESIDED WITHIN THE UK CONTINUOUSLY FOR AT LEAST 5 YEARS AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION. PLEASE NOTE YOU WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED IF YOU HAVE NOT MET THIS CRITERIA.

JOB

The Product Delivery Lead is responsible for establishing the ways of working within delivery teams, based on the specific requirements to deliver the Product roadmap. This includes coaching and empowering team to work effectively while the Product Delivery Lead focuses on removing potential risks and issues.
The Product Delivery Lead is focused on supporting Product Owners and Technical Leads to manage the product lifecycle and roadmap and on optimising the flow of work to deliver value as efficiently as possible. They build trusting relationships across teams to align roadmaps, and manage risks and product compliance responsibilities, to ensure a standardised good practice approach to delivery.PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with the Product Owner and Technical Lead to create a delivery roadmap for the product, ensuring alignment to user need and feasibility for development timelines.
Own and manage the delivery of product features against the delivery roadmap.
Provide consistent updates to the Product Owner and other stakeholders on product development processes, costs, and budgets.
Provide guidance to the delivery team to ensure the purpose of the product and features within the roadmap are well-defined and understood.
Manage the operational aspects of the product delivery team, ensuring compliance with any financial, legal, risk and security requirements.
Systematically review product delivery progress to identify, and measure and mitigate against risks and issues.
Ensure delivery teams implement a metrics-focused approach to objective definition, measurement, and performance reporting (e.g. burndown rate of work against time to milestones, costs incurred against budget, etc.).
Lead delivery teams with a focus on ensuring features are completed and delivered to stakeholders within the planned timeframes and budget.
Proactively identify and implement ways to maximise the value being delivered throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Ensure supplier performance, including alignment with CNC's ways of working, assessing performance, and fostering strong relationships that encourage continuous improvement and innovation throughout delivery.
Empower and coach delivery teams in ways of working to best realise value.
Lead and develop delivery teams to ensure their performance is of the required standard and continually develops to meet the future needs of the business.
Proactively share insights and lessons learned across product teams to support delivery, align roadmaps where necessary, coordinate initiatives, manage risks and manage compliance responsibilitiesESSENTIAL CRITERIA

Knowledge:

In-depth knowledge of the assigned product technology - including Microsoft's M365 platform and workflow tools such as Power Automate and Power Apps in the Microsoft Power Platform - their ability to enhance business processes, good practices, and business and technology trends.
In-depth knowledge of Agile and lean methodologies, and their application in a technology environment.
Broad understanding of IT topics such as cloud products and platforms, micro-service architectures, automation, and API integration.Skills:

Demonstrable business and tech acumen.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrable ability to successfully manage cross-functional teams, and highly able to prioritise and delegate work in high-pressure, complex environments
Ability to navigate and build connections within organisations, to influence and drive results in cross-functional teams.
Technical proficiency in utilising cloud services to design and deliver solutions.Experience:

Work experience in the IT environment with a broad understanding of a wide variety of applications and technical capabilities, and how those varied solutions can support the organization's strategic goals.
Experience in product/platform
Experience in both managing people and processes.
Experience in leading and mentoring a multi-disciplinary team.
Experience in leveraging cloud technologies to deliver applications/solutions.
Experience managing M365 including services such as SharePoint, Exchange, MS Teams, and/or other collaboration solution delivery tools.
