Remote (with up to 80% travel, UK-based)

My client is an award-winning software organisation.  They have an unrivalled reputation, offer a fantastic working environment, look after their staff extremely well and are currently growing so it’s a great time to join them!  

Due to growth, they have created a brand-new Product Consultant role. The Product Consultant will report directly into the CEO and will be responsible for collaborating with prospective and existing clients to understand their unique needs and challenges, and to recommend solutions that leverage the bespoke software to optimize their processes.

Product Consultant – More Info and Duties:

The Product Consultant will possess an extensive knowledge of a range of software products and the financial processes behind these, a deep understanding of the Property Management/Block Management industry and the ability to communicate effectively with clients to deliver tailored consulting services.

Product Expertise: Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of in-house software products, features, and capabilities. This will therefore require an in depth understanding of standard industry practices such as budgeting, service charges, sinking charges, along with a strong understanding of standard accounting practices such as double-entry bookkeeping. Being a Product Expert will also involve staying updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to our product offerings.

Client Consultation: Conduct client needs assessments and gather information on their current processes and pain points. Collaborate with clients to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiencies using software solutions. Be comfortable leading sessions and public speaking, ensuring that all parties are working towards the successful implementation of our software.

Solution Recommendation: Create customized product proposals and recommendations for clients based on their specific requirements. Clearly articulate the value proposition of our software in addressing client challenges and achieving their business goals.

Product Demonstrations: Work closely with the Business Development Manager, acting as a Pre-Sales Expert. Conduct product demonstrations and presentations for clients, showcasing how software can address their needs. Provide hands-on guidance to clients on using the software effectively.

Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor. Serve as a point of contact for client escalations related to software products and services. Attend conferences and sales events along with the Business Development Manager to help showcase company and products.

Feedback and Improvement: Gather feedback from clients on their experiences and needs, and communicate this feedback to the product development team for continuous improvement

Product Consultant – Over to you!

Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a SaaS or software consulting environment.

Strong knowledge of Property/Block Management Industry and a passion for technology.

Strong knowledge of Accounting Practices including double entry bookkeeping

In addition - End user experience working on different property industry finance software solutions and RIC’s or Financial / Accounting qualifications would be a bonus.
