Description:
Anderson Knight is recruiting for a Procurement Team leader for a well-established company based in Glasgow.
The role involves aiding in procurement administration, managing engineering part requisites, facilitating client and company processes. A comprehensive grasp of contractual financial demands and business goals is essential.
Typically, you will be working 37.5hrs per week. Monday to Friday, 08:30-16:30.
Salary - £27,000 rising to £28,279.99 after 6 months.
Main duties and responsibilities are:
• Ensure adherence to all procurement procedures.
• Take charge of the training and development needs of the procurement team.
• Implement controls to track outstanding purchase orders effectively.
• Understand the diverse accounting requirements for service clients.
• Maintain regular and effective communication with engineers, suppliers, subcontractors, supervisors, and management to ensure work completion within targeted SLAs.
• Compile and update progress/status reports for clients or client agents' systems.
• Provide statistical analytical information and reporting to administration management.
• Manage procurement administration processes, including material sourcing, purchase order generation, proof of delivery sourcing, returns and goods movements monitoring, stock adjustments, supplier management, client-specific processes, bonded stock, and free issue stock.
• Ensure correct product coding for analysis and reporting purposes.
• Manage Extra to Contract Works in accordance with contractual requirements.
• Demonstrate understanding of F Gas regulations, including documenting, recording, issuing, receiving, and moving refrigerants.
• Oversee the filing process for supporting documentation (scanning).
• Record legislative documentation to meet client/company recommendations.
Key attributes and skills:
• Extensive administration knowledge on Excel and Microsoft packages.
• Work as part of a team.
• Able to juggle multiple tasks and remain calm under pressure.
• Experience in the service industry is preferred but not essential.
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of procurement processes.
• Demonstrate experience in leading teams and providing supportive management.
• Exhibit strong decision-making and negotiation skills.
