Are you looking to develop your public sector procurement career in a role that delivers real impact for local communities?
Hertfordshire County Council is seeking a Procurement Officer to join its Strategic Procurement Group. Working across a diverse range of services including highways, property, adult social care, children's services, public health and community protection, you will support and lead procurement projects from planning through to contract award.
In this varied role, you will:
* Deliver procurement exercises and framework mini-competitions.
* Provide procurement advice and guidance to stakeholders.
* Support pre-market engagement and tender development.
* Produce tender and contract documentation.
* Ensure compliance with the Procurement Act 2023 and Council regulations.
* Work closely with colleagues in Legal, Finance and commissioning teams.
We're looking for individuals with:
* Public sector procurement experience or relevant procurement knowledge.
* An understanding of current procurement legislation.
* Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills.
* The ability to manage procurement activities through to contract award.
* Excellent attention to detail and confidence using Microsoft Office and eTendering systems.
