Procurement Manager - Civil Engineering

Piling Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for a Procurement Manager to join our clients team.

Responsibilities include overseeing the purchasing activities of the company, ensuring that goods and services are acquired efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with the organization's Company’s needs and goals

Key Responsibilities:

• Market research and analysis also including going on the field to search and meet with suppliers,

• Making requests for quotation, offers comparison and conducting the negotiation with suppliers.

• Issuing purchase orders with accurate terms and conditions and securing the follow-up

• Participating to key projects meetings and reporting purchasing activities

• Responsibility for the operation of the Procurement compliance process

• Develop a supplier network through identification, assessment, and regular review

• Search for new suppliers, alternative sources and maintaining a supplier’s data management system.

• Spend analysis and identification of key strategic categories and their suppliers.

• Negotiate price, delivery and all other relevant terms and conditions with suppliers and subcontractors.

• Develop, negotiate and implement framework agreements and call-off contracts for recurring materials or services.

• Organize and conduct supplier visits, audits, evaluation and development.

• Develop and report key performance indicators to the management / to the project.

• Leader of the purchasing team and responsible for the professional management and further development of the purchasing team.

• Collaborate with the management team and represent the interests of procurement in the organization

Previous experience working within construction sector purchasing materials including steel, concrete and plant hire is ideally required
