Job Title - Procurement Manager
Contract - Full Time, Permanent
Salary - £45,000 - £50,000
Location - South Leicestershire, Office Based

SF Recruitment have an exciting opportunity recruiting for a Procurement Manager for their Leicestershire based Client. This is a full-time permanent role working Monday to Friday. This is an office-based role with the requirement to travel and meet with suppliers. The salary for this role is up to £50,000.

In this role you will be responsible for planning and procurement and delivering product strategy. This is a key role in the procurement team to support with commercial growth.

Key Responsibilities will include:

- Responsibility for the cost-effective sourcing of products which meets the business requirements.
- Provide financial and technical support with business cases for all product sourcing projects which include effective price negotiation, contracts, conduct tenders and benchmarking exercises.
- Driving cost out of the operating model through increased centralisation and consolidation of ordering and supply.
- To formulate, agree and maintain commercial terms and conditions, service levels and supply agreements.
- To project manage the implementation of any agreed strategies, contracts or processes and become the escalation point for any non-compliance concerns.
- To maintain the integrity of the data in SAP, including suppliers, materials, purchase orders and pricing data.
- As required, conduct regular supplier reviews / audits and address any supplier performance issues using supplier management and improvement techniques.
- Support with consolidating, rationalising and/or re-positioning the product range. Support with phasing out products that have reached end of life cycle.
- Identifying partnering opportunities for complementary 3rd party products to broaden the portfolio.
- Conduct supplier research, competitive analysis and identify market and supply trends and shifts.

Essential Experience Required:
- Good communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively, collaborate and influence.
- Good numerical and analytical skills, with a structured and methodical approach.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask, project manage and achieve deadlines whilst maintaining attention to detail.
- Good knowledge of the legal aspects of purchasing with the ability to formulate purchasing contracts and service level agreements.
- Strong negotiation skills with proven experience of tendering and cost management
- A full driving licence is required

To be considered for this role you must have previous procurement experience with a commercial understanding. This is a really exciting role and the client is looking for somebody who can make this role their own with complete autonomy. Suitable candidates will be excellent at building supplier relationships and be results driven. It is essential you are highly organised and can manage time effectively.
