The Procurement Manager will lead the procurement and supply chain department in an industrial distribution environment based in Cheshire, with a focus on developing team capability, and executing effective strategies to enable further growth and realise efficiencies.

Description
As the Procurement Manager you will be based in the Cheshire location and deliver the following:
Review current operations and devise and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective purchasing of products and components to support customer demand
Support the team to build engagement and capability, creating a high performing team
Manage supplier relationships to secure supply, and leverage spend where possible
Utilise the ERP system for procurement processes and data analysis, and remove non-value activity
Work closely with account management, logistics, and customer service to ensure inventory is optimised to deliver maximum OTIF across the key ranges
Anticipate and manage any supply chain risks.
Develop KPIs for the procurement department and monitor performance, sharing the value the function brings with the SLT
Profile
A successful Procurement Manager should have:
Expertise in procurement processes and supply chain management ideally within the industrial distribution sector (including high SKU environments)
Excellent leadership abilities and team management skills
Used to working with a high degree of autonomy, and proven in developing systems and processes to support business objectives
Proficiency in using ERP systems and developing reports to enable agile business decisions
Strong negotiation skills and a strategic mindset.
Highly capable in managing high SKU stock / inventory sourced from a global supply base
Comfortable managing multi site operations
