Description:
International food producer require a Procurement Manager. Applicants need procurement experience within the Food industry and ideally have sourced raw materials and ingredients. The Procurement Manager will lead a team of 4.
Reporting into a Group Procurement Director the Procurement Manager will be responsible for ensuring good quality raw materials are sourced and delivered to the factory in a timely fashion. The role has 4 direct reports.
Specific duties of the Procurement Manager include:
Lead, support, develop and coach a procurement team of planners and administrators
Negotiate contracts with suppliers
Work with Procurement Director develop procurement strategies across direct food raw materials
Review supplier and raw materials specs
Drive supplier performance and manage supplier relationships
Support NPD activities from a procurement perspective
Procurement Manager applicants should meet the following criteria:
Procurement or Supply Chain experience in the Food industry
Previous experience in the procurement of food raw materials and ingredients
Ability to manage, lead and develop a team
Stakeholder skills
Positive, out-going, self-starter
