Description:
We are currently working with a leading University to recruit for a Procurement Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join a global University, transforming lives through inclusive and entrepreneurial education and research.
The ideal candidate will be MCIPS qualified or working towards it with demonstrable public contracts regulations knowledge.
Duties
Provide a customer-focused professional procurement service to stakeholders
Advise and provide guidance on complex procurement matters
Create tender and other procurement specifications including frameworks
Lead cross functional teams in targeted reviews to improve procurement practices
Develop mechanisms to monitor and improve the performance of suppliers
Evaluate supplier responses
Ensure Terms and Conditions are completed and signed
Monitor performance of existing contracts
Complete statutory returns
Act as main point of contact for procurement processes and systems
Arrange and attend meeting with internal and external customers on behalf of the function
Essentials
MCIPS qualified or working towards it
Previous experience of tendering process, including public sector requirements
Detailed knowledge of UK Public Sector procurement legislation and framework
