Procurement Manager - Manufacturing

A leading international manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead its UK procurement function. The Role

Reporting into senior leadership, you will be responsible for developing and delivering the procurement strategy across the UK business, ensuring a resilient and cost-effective supply of materials, goods and services.

Working closely with Operations, Planning, Quality, Finance and Commercial teams, you will lead supplier negotiations, manage strategic supplier relationships and identify opportunities to improve cost, quality, service and supply chain performance.

Key responsibilities include:

Developing and implementing procurement strategies aligned to business objectives.
Leading supplier sourcing, selection, contract negotiations and supplier performance management.
Delivering measurable cost reduction and value improvement initiatives.
Managing supply chain risk and ensuring continuity of supply.
Driving procurement best practice, compliance and purchasing governance.
Leading digital procurement initiatives and improving reporting through data-driven decision making.
Managing and developing the purchasing team while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

The Successful Applicant

You will be a commercially minded procurement professional with experience leading procurement activities within a manufacturing environment.

You will ideally have:

A minimum of five years' procurement or supply chain experience.
Proven success in supplier negotiations, contract management and strategic sourcing.
Experience delivering cost savings and continuous improvement programmes.
Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
Experience using SAP or other ERP systems.
Degree educated (or equivalent experience).
CIPS qualification, or be working towards MCIPS.
