Procurement Lead

Description:

Anderson Knight is currently working in partnership with a key client who is seeking to add further headcount to their Contract Division. Working closely with both the Procurement Category Team and IT Operations teams you will be responsible for the commercial management and administration of contracts.

Reporting to the Senior Contract Manager the key duties and responsibilities will include:

* Ensure successful delivery of all commercial and administration contracts in accordance with internal policies and procedures

* Work with IT Procurement Category Managers and Procurement Officers to ensure the best approach is taken in sourcing goods, works or services

* Comply with all safety policies and procedures, promote safety and safe working practices both internally and externally

* Provide a world class Procurement and Commercial service to IT by supporting Head of Procurement Operations and Lead Category Manager

* Identify supply chain cost reduction opportunities and improvements in the Procurement and Commercial Process

* Support Divisional KPIs and objectives such as saving in total cost ownership, value engineering and safety and sustainability performance

The key skills required to meet this excellent opportunity will include:

* Degree educated or recognised professional body such as IACCM

* Excellent interpersonal skills

* Ability to work in partnership with senior management and influence decisions

* Sound knowledge of all financial aspects and implications of projects

* Experience of drafting and interpreting commercial data

* Commercially focused self starter

* Strong IT skills
