Pertemps are supporting a large facilities organisation who are looking for a Procurement Controller to join the team. This role is essentially a team leader within the procurement team, you will be responsible for all the administration and client and company processes. It is essential that you have experience in a procurement or parts department previously.

It is crucial that you have worked in a team leader type role previously, have strong communication skills and are able to liaise with the wider team, management and suppliers. This is a really busy role so it is essential that you can work in a fast-paced environment. This will be a fully office based role.

Role Responsibilities:

Have a full understanding of procurement.
Be able to provide support to management.
Have decision making and negotiation skills.
Ensure that the procurement process are followed.
Ensure the team’s training and development.
Be responsible for compiling/updating progress/status reports for clients.
Ensure effective and regular communication.
Responsible for ensuring controls are put in place to identify any outstanding purchase orders.
Manage reporting and statistical information.
Be responsible for updating progress and status reports for clients.
Be responsible for the administration of procurement processes: sourcing materials, raising POs, sourcing PODs (proof of delivery), create/monitor returns, goods movements, stock adjustments, suppliers: specific/generic, Client specific processes, bonded stock, free issue stock.
Responsible for recording legislative documentation to meet client and company recommendations.Candidate Requirements:

Have previous experience in a Procurement role.
Have experience in a team leading role.
Be extremely comfortable using systems.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to build strong relationships.
