Commercial Services Group are embarking on an exciting expansion of our Procurement Services Division! We're on the lookout for an exceptional Procurement Associate Director to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will possess a keen commercial acumen, adept at swiftly advancing framework and procurement opportunities while maintaining a steadfast commitment to compliance with Public Sector Procurement Regulations.

Our Procurement Services Division is renowned for providing top-tier procurement frameworks to the public sector across a diverse array of categories including Banking and Finance, Construction, Education, Emergency Services, Facilities, Fleet, Health, Highways, Professional Services, Property Management, and Office and Technology. We offer a comprehensive suite of products and services designed to streamline the procurement process, encompassing tendering and contract management.

This role presents an outstanding opportunity for a commercially astute, self-driven individual to assume a leadership role in governing, ensuring compliance, and driving strategic growth within the division. Collaborating closely with key members of the Procurement Senior Leadership team, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in crafting and executing our commercial strategy, while upholding the highest standards of legal and regulatory compliance in alignment with Public Sector Regulations.

Key duties

Support in the development and implementation of the Procurement Services growth strategy that will enable Procurement Services to become the framework provider of choice across public sector organisations.
Lead the strategic development of the procurement plan from concept to execution aligned to the Procurement Services business plan and have overall accountability for ensuring its successful and compliant delivery.
Maintain and be responsible for strong procurement compliance across all Procurement Services brands, contract management and auditability throughout the life of all frameworks and individual contracts .
Implement procurement solutions by planning, delivering and deploying appropriate procurement interventions and resource in support of meeting business and customer needs.
Be accountable for procurement value creation across the assigned categories through sourcing, negotiating, procuring and management of suppliers, overseeing risk mitigation
Lead the development of our procurement policies and have overall accountability for ensuring their successful and compliant delivery.
Be responsible for the operational planning and organisation of procurement work including the setting of performance standards and establishing key performance indicators to keep track of progress and support longer term planning.
Promote and grow the use of our frameworks and procurement services through proactive engagement with customers and suppliers.
Provide leadership, development, training and performance monitoring to your team to support business activities.What we need from you –

CIPS Membership is essential

Experience of leading and managing procurement teams

Experience of managing procurement processes particularly within Public Sector

Extensive knowledge of Public Sector Regulations

Strong strategic and commercial acumen
