Job Responsibilities
Assist with the day-to-day administration of procurement activities, supporting the wider procurement team.
Help raise, process, and track purchase orders in line with internal procedures.
Support supplier on boarding and maintenance of supplier records, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
Collect and review documentation to support procurement processes, maintaining clear audit trails.
Monitor procurement requests and help ensure timely progression through the approval workflow.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather information needed for quotes, orders, and supplier communications.
Maintain procurement filing systems and ensure records are stored correctly and securely.
Support basic spend tracking and reporting by collating data and updating relevant trackers.
Respond to routine queries from suppliers and colleagues in a professional and timely manner.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately with numbers and documentation.
Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Clear communication skills, able to liaise professionally with internal teams and suppliers.
Basic understanding of procurement processes and purchasing administration (training will be supported).
Competent IT skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
Experience using administrative systems or databases to record and track information (or strong aptitude to learn quickly).
Good literacy and numeracy skills, with the ability to interpret and check documentation.
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths are desirable.
Relevant procurement or business administration experience is beneficial, though not essential for the right candidate.
