Quick Staff UK is pleased to have been engaged in recruiting a Procurement Officer for an established manufacturing organisation based in the Treforest area of south Wales. The Procurement Officer will join the supply chain team and report to the site Supply chain manager and will support the supply chain and production by purchasing and scheduling a portfolio of raw materials with a focus on cost, flexible responsiveness, safety stocks, and inventory in order to support the plant production and maintenance schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

* Complete all necessary tasks with the local ERP system.

* Obtain delivery commitments from suppliers to support the local production schedules, which enables the execution of production in line with sales requirements.

* Record and update business systems in a timely manner, to give accurate visibility of purchases, plans, customer promises and financials.

* Perform invoice verification activities, liaising with local team members & group Accountss Payable for resolution in line with targets.

Key Requirements:

* Previous experience in a purchasing role

* Experience of using an ERP system (eg SAP, Oracle, Baan etc)

* Strong communication skills

* Must be computer literate and comfortable using Microsoft packages (eg. Excel, Word etc)

Hours of work:
9.00am - 5.00pm
Monday to Friday
