Working for a large not-for-profit utilities company based across Wales.
Your new role
Inducting, supervising and managing outside contractors carrying out revenue and reactive capital maintenance breakdowns and projects ensuring full compliance to Health & Safety and BMS requirements and ensuring quality control.
Liaising with ME&I craft colleagues on revenue and reactive capital maintenance work.
Liaising and coordinating with the area Supervisor and team members on operating activities and formulating effective and efficient cost-reduction plans and savings.
Ensuring correct compliance to required EC Directives, BMS and other company standards and procedures, including Health & Safety.
Willing to develop and learn within the role and have the flexibility and competence to operate and maintain multiple sites and participate in an out of hours standby system.What you'll need to succeed
NVQ Level 2 or higher, BTEC, ONC/HNC qualifications in Wastewater Treatment Process Operations (desirable)
Experience gained in the industry with the use of SCADA systems, Instrumentation and Mechanical and Electrical equipment is desirable)
Experience gained in the industry to ensure full compliance and adherence to all H&S issues.
Enthusiastic about putting our customers first every day.
Awareness of regulatory bodies such as DWI and the Environment Agency/NRW
Dealing with control of abstraction under licence at raw water intakes
Dealing with discharge consent licence for all environmental discharges
Computer systems literate including SAP, Scope X, Exchange, Word and Excel are essential.
Ability to communicate effectively in Welsh (desirable)
