Location: Stroud

Contract: Permanent, Full-time, Day Shift

Salary: £12.71 - £13.50 per hour DOE

THOMAS Professional is delighted to be supporting a well-established aerospace manufacturing business in the recruitment of a Process Operative - Surface Treatment to join their growing team in Stroud.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected manufacturer supplying components to some of the world's leading aircraft manufacturers. Full training will be provided, making this an ideal opportunity for someone with manufacturing experience who is eager to develop new skills within a specialist surface treatment environment.

Role Responsibilities

Prepare aerospace components for surface treatment, including masking, media blasting and waxing

Carry out surface treatment processes following detailed work instructions and process sheets

Record processing times and production data accurately

Maintain exceptional quality standards throughout the manufacturing process

Promote a strong health & safety culture

Support continuous improvement initiatives within the department

Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve production targets
The Person

Previous experience working within an engineering or manufacturing environment is essential

Experience following detailed manufacturing or process instructions

Experience working to high quality standards and completing production records accurately

Excellent attention to detail and quality-focused mindset

Experience preparing or processing metal components would be advantageous

Strong awareness of health & safety within a production environment

Reliable team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn

Aerospace manufacturing or surface treatment experience would be highly beneficial
