Process Engineer - CNC Turning & CAD/CAM

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

We are looking for an experienced Process Engineer from a precision machining environment to support and improve CNC turning operations within a high-performance manufacturing business.

This role is suited to a hands-on engineer with strong CNC turning and CAD/CAM experience who enjoys solving manufacturing problems, improving processes and supporting production teams.

Essential Experience

Minimum 5 years' experience in a precision machining or metal-cutting manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of CNC Turning processes.
CAD/CAM programming experience.
Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
Proven experience implementing and improving manufacturing processes.
Experience supporting production with tooling, programming and process optimisation.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S and Continuous Improvement techniques.
Experience investigating quality issues, NCRs and implementing corrective actions.
Understanding of ISO 9001 quality standards.
Experience using ERP/MRP systems.

Desirable

Background in Motorsport, Formula 1, Aerospace or other high-precision engineering sectors.
Knowledge of statistical process control and process capability.
Degree qualified in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or similar.

Key Responsibilities

Support CNC turning operations through process development and optimisation.
Implement and develop CAD/CAM capability.
Resolve manufacturing and quality issues.
Drive continuous improvement projects to improve quality, efficiency and reduce waste.
Support tooling selection, machine improvements and engineering projects.
Work closely with Production, Quality and Engineering teams to deliver manufacturing excellence.Please note: This role requires previous experience within CNC machining and CAD/CAM programming. Applicants without experience in a precision engineering or metal-cutting environment are unlikely to be considered.
