Are you an experienced Process Engineer who is passionate about promoting process capability whilst sharing your knowledge and supporting your team and the wider business?
At British Gypsum we are looking for a Process Engineer to work in our Kirkby Thore plant, helping to deliver our long range plan on sustainability.
This Process Engineer will be a part of the SPA, Packing and Added Value performance team which bridges the gap between the Mine and the Board Plant team.
British Gypsum is part of Saint-Gobain Interior Solutions (SGIS). Much of Britain has been built with British gypsum. Gypsum is the vital raw material at the heart of our plaster and plasterboard, and much of it is mined, milled and made in Britain. We have been mining gypsum for more than 150 years, a heritage we're very proud of.
This is a days-based role, working Monday-Friday 8am - 4pm.
What we're looking for:
A degree in chemical engineering or similar relevant subject
A passion for developing people and sharing your knowledge
Experience working as a Process Engineer - manufacturing is preferred however we will consider candidates from all industries
Ability to influence at all levels
Excellent analytical and organisational skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple simultaneous projects
What you will be doing:
Implementing and managing energy improvement projects
Process monitoring ensuring our product meets quality standards
Continuously improve the standards and process performance to deliver high material and product quality to our customers
Supports NPD and Supply Chain projects in support of company objectives, identifies projects that need support by NPD process and engages with the PMO team.
Develop a safety culture with the vision to achieve zero injuries
